The Original

This piece was exhibited in Draw 18 - Oct 1 - 13, Menier Gallery, London.

This has to be one of my favourite cricket drawings.  The image is my depiction of early season wickets creating a bit of a nightmare for batsmen coming out of their winter rest.  With the ball skipping about all over the place, making bowlers look world class, scenes like this were commonplace.

Many thanks to Debbie Knight whose photo provided a reference point for me.

It is drawn in charcoal with red pastel for the ball on light grey pastel paper.  It is framed in a black wooden heavy rustic frame to 18" x 15" and is ready to hang.

This would make a lifetime gift for any cricket lover or cricket club.
