The Original

The original is now sold.

My first drawing of cricket slips, it captures perfectly the moment when the slips leap up in unison, almost like a synchronized dance.  We do not know what is happening at the crease, the piece of action that has elicited the slips reaction is hidden from view.  We also do not know if their appeal was successful as this is a suspended moment in a cricket match.  Like any sport, such a series of moments make the whole match so exciting.  It is drawn in charcoal on pearl grey Canson Mi Teintes paper.  The image size is 13" x 9", the piece is mounted in a white acid free with a backing board.  The piece will need to be framed behind glass (not acrylic glass) as soon as possible, it will fit easily into a frame 40 cm x 30 cm or 16" x 12".  I have included an image of what it may look like in a black frame.  The original is shipped flat in an all board envelope, protected by Corri Cor hardboard.
