The original is now sold
I used one of my favourite cricketers Brendon McCullum as a reference for this sketch. The captured moment shows a look of disbelief as he gazes at the dislodged stumps. With the bales flying in one direction and the ball in the other, it's a wonderful moment in the match to capture. It is drawn in charcoal with white pastel highlights and conte pastel on the cricket ball. It is drawn on Canson high quality pastel paper.
